Funny how you said it took so much time to...Karen,
Funny how you said it took so much time to prepare and then it's all consumed in 12 minutes! Pam and I said the same thing and it was especially hard this year for us without mom's help. I understand and totally agree that you should NOT do it that way for the next holiday!!
We usually do a huge Christmas Brunch with 20+ guests in and out of mom's house all day and it wears everyone out except the guests! We decided this year to do coffee, juice, fruit, and pastries in order to make it easier on everyone. Why struggle and put our physical bodies under such stress when it's not even the purpose...that's just FOOD!!
Regarding your eldest, 22 is an interesting age. My son went through the terrible 2's, 12's, and then 16-19 were pretty horrible. Now, at 22 he realized the hard way that his bad choices and selfish consumptions lead him back to square one with a bunch of unpaid bills to account for without a JOB! So now, we just wait and watch as he moves along the path HE has chosen and listen when he says HE is making progress. Trust, they do eventually get better, but it's their path and all that you have done as a mom is prepare him to walk it! I love you and your family stories!JoyElevenhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03770917598124297167noreply@blogger.com
